Karachi, Pakistan – In a groundbreaking initiative, the Sindh government has taken significant steps to ensure that schoolchildren receive their textbooks on time, marking a revolutionary change in the region’s education system. This move, spearheaded under the guidance of Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, reflects a sincere commitment by the Sindh government to prioritize education at the school level.The event was marked by a special ceremony at the Sindh Textbook Board’s warehouse in Landhi, Karachi, where Chairman Abdul Aleem Lashari addressed the media. He highlighted the government’s dedication to overcoming challenges and ensuring that every child has access to the necessary educational resources.”Under the directive of Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, the distribution of textbooks is in full swing,” said Lashari. “This year, 4.4 million sets of books have been printed and are being distributed to schools across Sindh.”The distribution process, which started on July 30, aims to reach all 30 districts of Sindh by August 15. This timely distribution is unprecedented and is being lauded as a major achievement in ensuring that students have the materials they need to succeed from the very beginning of the academic year.The initiative also includes plans to introduce a paperless education system, with proposals to teach students from grades 9 to 12 through tablets.
